Salt Movie is an upcoming action thriller movie Columbia Pictures which is directed by Phillip Noyce. starring Angelina Jolie, Liev Schreiber, and Chiwetel Ejiofor. Jolie plays Evelyn Salt, accused of being a KGB sleeper agent, on the run to try to clear her name. In this movie, Tom Cruise should be the lead of Jolie but because o commitments to other projects, he was unable to get this role for the Salt Movie.

Movie Plot

As a CIA officer, Evelyn Salt (Angelina Jolie) swore an oath to duty, honor and country. Her loyalty will be tested when a defector accuses her of being a Russian spy. Salt goes on the run, using all her skills and years of experience as a covert operative to elude capture. Salt’s efforts to prove her innocence only serve to cast doubt on her motives, as the hunt to uncover the truth behind her identity continues and the question remains: “Who Is Salt?”

The movie is scheduled to be released in North America on July 23, 2010 and August 20, 2010 in the United Kingdom.
